Summer of 2025
What’s hot this summer!
Yes, Summer is officially here. And with the sometimes cloudy days the usually Sunny San Diego gets (yes, thats true even we get those rainy gray days sometimes - imagine!)) we are happy to welcome the bloom and lots of sunny days. Here are some dynamics and trends to watch our for when looking at real estate, staging and interior design this Summer!
1. Multifunctional Spaces
You know those times when rooms were ear marked for specific purposes with flexible family dynamics, remote work situations and sometimes growing kids, homes are having more and more multi functional spaces. Thinks office and workout spaces, studios, yoga rooms and other innovative ways families can use their rooms rather than the standard. Its imperative that as homes evolve architecturally we think of these evolving multi functional needs. From a staging perspective we create and stage these often.
2. Warm and natural still leads
Being in comfort in a warm space with natural elements, organic tones still wins. We have seen mango wood, burl wood and rattan still being used inventively by manufacturers. Its the perfect blend of warmth and style. The use of layering also helps elevate homes with the vibe one wants to create. With an exciting, adventurous world happening around us, homes are the safe spaces we look forward to and evoking that warmth as you walk in is valuable.
3. Wallpaper, in all textures
The love for wallpaper has only grown. We have seen creative uses with texture and pattern. Going innovative with brighter colors, deep hues and mystical patters which change your mood is something that wallpaper can do in a home.
4. Matchy matchy kitchens are passe’
A blend of material, texture and color Kitchens have gone indepth with style. All white kitchens have richly evolved as customers experiment with new options on material and colors available in the market. Marble, quartzite, onyx countertops have evolved to dramatic veining lines, hues and vary from warm, cold to neutral impact. Yes, homeowners and designers are going bold and rich with their kitchens. We could not be happier.
5. Pretty looking shelfies
Shelfs have been around for years and evolved. In the staging world this summer elevating the shelf and curating a well designed look takes the room to another level. Yes, we love our shelfies.
So tell us, what is inspiring your summer design this year?
